Crazy Ink was founded by USA Today Bestselling Author Erin Lee, who also writes as EL George, in 2018 in an effort to help both readers and authors explore new genres. With more than seventy titles of her own, she's experienced both the successes and pitfalls that come with indie publishing.
A small indie publisher, Crazy Ink takes pride in celebrating all types of writing and creative expression.
Why publish with us? What makes us different?
Run by a therapist, Crazy Ink has a no tolerance policy for bullying of any kind. With Crazy Ink, authors who are supportive of one another work together in a tight family dynamic to help not only promote each other but to keep the words coming. While the indie writing community can be a hard place to break into, Crazy Ink and it's fifty-plus signed authors help newer authors navigate their way through marketing and the ins and outs of small press publishing. While we can't make promises you will hit a best seller list, we can promise that your book will be treated with the attention it deserves. There won't be long waits for covers. Editors will work with you directly. You will have a say in cover designs, pricing, and other factors that come into play throughout the publishing process. Armed with a 26-person marketing team, your book WILL get seen. To help with author success, Crazy Ink offers release events and takeovers for authors looking to build street teams and get themselves in front of readers. Likewise, our company offers graphics, teasers and trailers for every author - helping you get your best foot out there.
Our pace is practiced and has been perfected, making it both efficient and and easy to release a book within three months of the initial contract signing in most cases. Again, this is due to the large team and supportive environment that is rare in the indie community.
We encourage you to talk to other Crazy Ink authors or participate in one of our many anthologies before making up your mind and sending in a submission. We understand what it is like to release your hard-earned words into someone else's hands and also know the excitement of seeing the words come to life.
If you have any questions about our process, please feel free to email egeorge@antioch.edu.
Happy publisher shopping and writing too!
